Captain Jim left Nanaimo with the 'Gikumi' on Saturday, May 17, 2008 heading for Telegraph Cove.  On his way between Cortes Island and Telegraph Cove, he encountered 30 plus Harbour porpoise and some Dall's porpoise.  Stellar sea lions through the Yuculta Rapids and harbour seals all the way home.  There were hundreds of Pacific Loons with beautiful breeding plumage in vibrant blacks and whites.

Gikumi is looking fabulous after four years of major refit she is 90 percent finished and happy to be home in Telegraph Cove!!!!
