From the Wheelhouse:

Today for the third time in a row, we encountered whales as soon as we departed Telegraph Cove!   We had the A24's; A8's and A23's.  The orcas traveled east to the Robson Bight reserve to have a little rub and then they came out and came back to the west   We clearly saw that A64 (of the A24 matriline) has a new calf.  It appears to be about 3 month old

Lots of great vocals, power rolls on the surface, tail slaps, spy hops and ecolocation, 1 baby breach and 1 large orca breach   The Pacific white-sided dolphins have been extremely active the last couple of days and are surfing among the killer whales.  It just doesn't get any better.

Not only is it British Columbia's 150th birthday...its Captain Waynes too Happy Birthday Captain Wayne

Captain Wayne's quote of the day:

"We never know the worth of water till the well is dry."  English Proverb
