From the Wheelhouse:

Talk about rain!!!!! Lets hope the weatherman is right and the sun will peak out for the next couple of days.  Our guests have been real troopers putting up with the many torrential showers.  Today started out very wet but by the end trips we saw a little blue sky and sun.

Amazing whales again today! The A25's; A23's; A24's; A30's and the  I11's for a total of 34 orcas.  Activity observed today with the killer whales - traveling, foraging, long dives, spy hops, tail slaps and tail lobs.  The vocalizaitons were fantastic.

One of the four humpback whales sighted today in the area was 'Houdini' (BCX0022.  This remarkable female is well known to us having brought five calves into the area in the past seven years (amazing since gestation is 13 months).  No calf this year.

Our seabirds too are still wonderful and today we saw 2 Parasitic Jaegers.

Captain Wayne's quote of the day:

"Ships are like women....expensive to rig and difficult to steer."  Anon
