From the Wheelhouse:

What an amazingly lovely 'Indian Summer' day.  Flat calm, sunny and warm.  We had the most spectacular vocals today with every sound, peep and squick that you could imagine.  The A30's; A8's; A24's and the A23's were in fine vocal form.  Lots of socializing today as well as large resting lines, spy hops, tail slaps, belly rolls and baby breaches!

Captain Jim on the Gikumi had friends and family from as far as Holland on the boat today.  It was great to see everyone having a good time!   Three humpback whales in the area today and the folks on the Gikumi saw one of them lunge feeding.  Quite an exciting afternoon.

Lots of active Steller sea lions in the water feeding and lots of sea birds.

Captain Wayne's quote of the day:

"We should not moor a ship with one anchor or our life with one hope."  Epictetus
