Brave Buddy!

February 20, 2009
Telegraph Cove's beloved Buddy was laying in the sun yesterday outside Stubbs Island Whale Watching's office, when he was suddenly attacked by a juvenile male cougar. He fought bravely but the cougar did alot of damage. We have him safely at the vet's and for now, it looks like he will make it, but possibly with some lasting issues.
The conservation officer came to Telegraph Cove with the local hound team and unfortunately they were forced to shot the cougar. We wanted to let all of our friends and guests that have visited and been touched by this little ambassador know about this situation.
We will keep you updated with this brave little fellow's progress. Sincerely, Jim and Mary Borrowman

I am just so sorry to hear about Buddy. My heart goes out to you all.

So sorry to hear about Buddy, I hope he recovers well. I know that Buddy is every bit part of the family as a human would be. Wickett (fellow shih tzu) and I send our love.

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Buddy, but wonder how his recovery is coming.
