Robson Bight Update

The Robson Bight recovery project has begun. The salvage operation to bring up the diesel truck and hydraulic oil container is now underway. Weather permitting it should be finished soon.
This critical killer whale habitat is so very important and the Robson Bight Warden Program needs your help.
Due to a major shortfall in the funding of the Robson Bight Warden Program, we are very concerned that the integrity of the Reserve could be greatly compromised this summer.
The Wardens have enough budget to monitor for only 5 days a week. We feel it is very important to try and have coverage for 7 days a week. To hire staff, run boats, fuel and other costs; the extra two days is approximately $600.00 per day times 22 days ($13,200.00).
We are asking every one we can to purchase 'boat days' to acheive this goal:
ie: 1 boat day $600.00
5 boat days is $3000.00 etc.
What is desperately needed is your pledge and commitment immediately so staff can be hired for training etc. by the end of May. If you can help please make your cheques payable to Cetus Society and notify Nic Dedeluk or Doug Sandilands that you are commited to supporting the Warden Program.
Please help us to protect this very special place and killer whale habitat.
