From the Wheelhouse:

It was sure the calm after the storm today, as we started the day with brilliant sunshine and calm seas.  Our guests were thrilled to first encounter on their tour this afternoon two very large humpback whales. One identified as 'Vader' and the other unidentified.

With thanks to Troy Bright at Bere Point, we received a report of the fish eating resident killer whales the A30s at the north end of Malcolm Island.  This was very exciting as the orcas have not been in the area for a few days.  A12 was heard in Blackfish Sound this morning, but her where abouts are not known this afternoon and she was not spotted with the A30s.

Also encountered today were Steller sealions, Dall's porpoise, Pacific white-sided dolphins and a huge array of seabirds.

we went whale watching yesterday, 27 september and what a trip that was! We want to thank you for this amazing tour and for the fact that we got to see two humpbacks as well as the A30 family of the orca's. You had to bring us far but we did see them!
